May 1!
The weather was so crazy this week. One day it was literally one of the hottest days I have had on my mission. Then the next day it was super cold and rainy. Then the next day it was like perfect weather. You just never know what you are going to get here.
Not a lot happened this week so this email will probably be pretty short. Saturday was a pretty lame day. We had 3 first lessons set up with formers. but while we were waiting for the 1st one, the 3rd one cancelled, then the 1st one fanged us (which means he didn't show up), then the 2nd one showed up an hour late (and we didn't leave cause we were waiting for the 1st one and the chapel is outside of our area so we would have had to come right back). and the 2nd didn't really have a lot of interest. So we had planned on getting 3 new investigators, but instead we got 0... nice
I will update you on some investigators. First Rose-fel and Aldrine are still doing great. We set another baptismal goal with them for the 25th, which is a Thursday, but it is the only day that both of their schedules work. They are still reading and praying everyday and they are still doing great. Even though it is hard for them sometimes to express their feelings in English, you can tell that the Gospel means a lot to them. Our other investigator Mrs. Huang is still doing really good. She couldn't meet with us this week because her meeting at work went longer than she thought it would. But she has still been reading and praying everyday. We didn't find any new investigators this week, but we are hoping this next week will be better!
Well that is about it this week. I just want to bear my testimony that the Book of Mormon is true! Before my mission I had read the Book of Mormon and I knew it was true, but I don't know how much I truly studied it. On my mission I have truly been able to study the Book of Mormon. It has truly been such a comfort, and it has really strengthened my testimony of Jesus Christ and of this Gospel. Especially as I have started reading the New Testament. It has really made me grateful for the Book of Mormon's additional witness of Jesus Christ. I hope that you are all following the council of our prophet Thomas S. Monson and reading the Book of Mormon every day. If we truly want to endure to the end then we must read and pray about the Book of Mormon every day! Love you all!
