On Tuesday we went to go visit this LA that we call 十一奉獻 (tithing), because no matter what you want to talk about, he always ends up talking about tithing. He even mentioned how great Bill Gates' and Warren Buffets tithing must be for the church (haha I don't know). But anyways he was scrambling around his house looking for something to feed us, and even though we kept saying we didn't need anything, he proceeded to get some bowls, pour some milk in them, and then pour cheddar popcorn into the same bowls. It was not as bad as stinky tofu... but it was definitely not good. But I know that they have all of those ingredients in America so go ahead and try it.
On Wednesday we met with a different Brother Wang. This Brother Wang and his family were tracted into by Elder Brenchley and his last companion, but the second meeting with them (due to a random member walking in and kind of ruining the lesson) didn't go to well. So for a while they wouldn't answer, but we went and visited there house and met with them, but his wife wasn't there. We reviewed the Plan of Salvation and he said that eternal families are something that would be important right now. But he feels like because he believes more in science, and he can't see the end result, that he does not have any motivation to work towards it. But we taught about prayer and invited him to pray to know if it was true.
On Thursday for Thanksgiving the bishop in the other ward took us to a steak place that had a bunch of all you can eat other stuff. Super good. Then I went on exchanges with Elder Sano.
Friday was my 500th day on the mission! pretty crazy stuff. Also Nick was supposed to have his baptismal interview, but his mom (who is very less active and was not aware that he was having this interview) started freaking out because she didn't think that he was prepared. Then her and her husband had a pretty big argument and then the left. So we will just keep meeting with him and review everything.
Well I am very grateful to be out here serving the Lord. I am so grateful for this gospel and how much it has blessed me and my family. I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and the knowledge and power that it brings into my life. I am so grateful for all of the good things the Lord has given me and all of the great things he has in store for me. Love you!
